“I’m the only one who knows how half of this actually works.”

“Every initiative that doesn’t belong to one department ends up on my desk.”

“I don’t have time to think strategically because I’m buried in operations.”

“We keep applying to funders who quietly stopped giving in our space.”
Sound familiar? That’s the gap Leverhaus fills.
Engagements typically start at $5,000/month, scoped to your organization’s actual needs on a discovery call.
To start smaller, the Readiness Audiit is $2,000 for one location or program and takes two weeks. Learn more →

Who we work with
1
Founders and CEOs who don’t yet have a true #2, but need one before the org chart can justify it.
2
Nonprofit executive directors stretched across fundraising, board work, staff, and programs.
3
Small business owners whose operations have outgrown what they can run solo.
If you don’t see yourself above: what matters isn’t team size — it’s whether you already have real clients, real stakeholders, and operational complexity that needs owning, headcount or not. A solo attorney with an active caseload has that. A pre-revenue idea with no clients yet usually doesn’t. If the coordination burden already exists, that’s the fit — not the org chart.
Backed by 20+ years in office relocations, executive promotion cycles, board-level coordination, and building infrastructure from scratch.
WHERE IT SHOWS UP
Wherever the bottleneck shows up, it usually traces back to ownership that’s missing or intelligence you don’t have yet. Here’s what that typically looks like, based on patterns we commonly see, not specific client results.
NONPROFIT LEADERS
Funder decisions: Applying to funders who’ve quietly stopped giving in their space, not finding out until after the proposal’s written. → A clear pursue-or-hold call before a single hour goes into drafting.
The funder calendar: Stretched across fundraising, board work, staff, and programs, with no one owning the connective tissue. → The funder calendar comes out of the ED’s head: reports, renewals, and asks, each with a deadline and a dollar figure.
Board coordination: Board materials, follow-ups, and decisions scattered across inboxes, with the ED as the only one holding the thread. → Someone owns board prep and follow-through, so decisions made in the meeting actually move afterward.
CEOS AND FOUNDERS
Cross-functional initiatives: An office relocation, a systems rollout, or a promotion cycle with no natural owner, landing on the CEO’s desk by default. → One senior operator owns it from start to finish and keeps the executive team aligned.
Strategic priorities: Too many priorities and no one owning execution between decisions. → A weekly operating cadence with the leadership team, so decisions turn into follow-through.
New-hire onboarding: Every new hire learns the job by asking whoever has time, and the same questions get answered over and over. → A structured onboarding process, built once, that runs without the founder walking every new person through it.
Illustrative examples based on patterns we commonly see, not specific named clients.
HOW TO WORK WITH LEVERHAUS
Most clients work with Leverhaus as a fractional Chief of Staff. If you’d rather start with a defined scope, there are two smaller ways in.
Core engagement
Fractional Chief of Staff
A senior operator who owns execution between your decisions and the results: initiatives run end to end, stakeholders kept aligned, nothing left without an owner.
Ways to start smaller
Readiness Audit
A two-week look at the one place your work is stuck, with a ranked report you keep either way.
Foundation Sprint
For nonprofits: four weeks to get the funder calendar owned, the next reports drafted, and a handoff your staff can run.
We also help with
Funder & Competitive Intelligence*
Know which funders are actually worth pursuing before you spend weeks on a proposal, or which competitor moves deserve your attention. A clear pursue-or-hold call, not a data dump.
Automated Systems*
We move repetitive work into quiet, reliable systems: intake, reporting, client portals, follow-up, data cleanup, and the handoffs that eat entire days.
Built around the work you’re already doing.
You already have the tools. We build the logic that connects them and point it where it matters.

The real cost

Step 1 — Talk
A short call to name the one place the work is stuck. If that workflow is clear, the next step is the Readiness Audit: $2,000 for one location or program, paid before the work starts, delivered in two weeks.
If it is smaller than an audit, we will say so. We do not grade the whole company on that call. If you sign on for any engagement of $2,000 or more within 30 days of your walkthrough, the $2,000 comes off your first invoice.

Step 2 — Build
We design the right response: a system that removes repeat work, a CoS cadence that keeps priorities moving, or the research that answers a specific question — sometimes more than one at once. No disruption, no theater.

Step 3 — Run
The system runs quietly in the background, we run point on what needs steady ownership, or you get a clear recommendation to act on. Either way: fewer stalls, cleaner handoffs, more time back.
You walk away with less manual work, clearer ownership, and hours back on your calendar — built around how you already work, not bolted on top of it.
Tell us a bit about what you’re dealing with, and we’ll get back to you within two business days to set up your discovery call.
